About us ...
DiverSEC is a new security training, recruitment and consultancy social enterprise formed in 2020 to specifically help increase diversity within the UK private security industry.
DiverSEC aims to provide a variety of security related interventions, industry guidance/support and recruitment. Services provided will be particularly (but not exclusively) aimed at those with a disability, women, ethnic minorities, religious groups and LGBT communities. You can see our full programme of our services by clicking here.
DiverSEC is based in Leicester, East Midlands but aims to work with diverse groups who seek to enter the private security industry locally and nationally. You can contact us by phone or email here.
DiverSEC recognises that the private security industry is one of the fastest growing in the UK, generating in excess of £5 billion per year. An estimated 450,000 people are employed in a variety of roles including Door supervision, CCTV operatives, team leadership and management etc. Job rates are set to increase from 10% to 12% from 2019 and spending is forecast to grow by 9% over the next five years.
Although these statistics are very encouraging, the issue of diversity within the private security industry workforce has historically proven to be significantly challenging. Industry reports conclude that the rate of diversity visibility must be tackled in order to create greater parity.
DiverSEC aims to help to achieve this objective by providing training, recruitment, information, advice and guidance, work experience and support by forming and working in partnership with statutory, voluntary companies and private enterprise.
